UMM Rector accompany participants of Training of Food Warriors Patriots |
In order to trigger agriculture in Papua, the Faculty of Agriculture-Animal Husbandry will assist for the Training of Food Warriors Patriots, From Papua for the Nation. This training was officially opened at the EduPark Laboratory, FPP on Friday (08/01). The opening was attended by the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture of Indonesia,Prof. Dr. Muhadjir Effendy, M.A.P, UMM Rector Dr. Fauzan, M.Pd, Dean of Faculty of Agriculture-Animal Husbandry and itsacademy. A total of 11 Papuanyouth will be given 2 days of training on agriculture and animal husbandry. Thenitcontinued with field research activities for amonth.
At the opening of the training, the Rector of the University of Muhammadiyah Malang gave a speech. In his speech, Fauzan stated that this activity was aimed at preparing to become a tough and professional farmer. "As a commitment of UMM, from Muhammadiyah to the nation, UMM took the initiative to share experiences and skills, especially in the field of agriculture-animal husbandry," he said.
Moreover, the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture of Indonesia, Prof. Dr. Muhadjir Effendy, M.A.P who joined online also provided directions for this activity. Muhadjir stated that UMM took brilliant steps to invite the best youthof Papua to develop Indonesia. "Take advantage of this opportunity as well as possible", he said. "Don't expect Papua to advance from other people's hands", he added.
In line with Muhadjir, Arie Ferdinand, one of the participants, hopes that this training can create youth with full of skillthat will have a big impact on the development of Papua. "We need to return to our national identity, namely an agricultural country", he argued. (RAN / hum)
