The hectic activity on campus as Vice Dean I of the Faculty of Agriculture and Animal Science was not a hindrance for Dr. Ir. Aris Winaya, MM. MSi. IPU made an achievement. This Animal Science Lecturer was ranked 2nd in the Outstanding Lecturer at the University of Muhammadiyah in 2021 in the Field of Science and Technology. These achievements are assessed based on several criteria, including the findings of spectacular works, both at the local and national levels as well as scientific works, both research and service results.
As a lecturer who has dozens of researches and scientific publications, Aris Winaya in 2020 received a research grant from the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education in the form of the 2020 National Research Priority of around 1.2 billion, a large amount for research funds for lecturers in universities. This grant research is to develop superior laying hens. According to him, the productivity of domestic chicken in terms of HDP (Hen Day Production) so far has only been around >50%. Through his research, it is hoped that the HDP of domestic chicken will increase to >60%. "Perhaps this is my effort that becomes an important assessment so that I deserve the award for outstanding lecturer," said Aris.
Not only Aris Winaya feels proud and grateful for this achievement, but also colleagues at the Faculty of Agriculture and Animal Science. "Congratulations to Mr. Aris Winaya, hopefully it will inspire other lecturers," said Rahayu Relawati, Agribusiness lecturer. “Actually, this is the third time I have received this award, and once I was ranked first in 2013. This is a sign that in the future I should improve my performance so I can give the best for myself and the institution”, hopes Aris. (RAN/hum)
