The Faculty of Agriculture - Animal Science UMM Team conducted an Internal Quality Audit (AMI)
MALANG — On Monday (10/4), the UMM Faculty of Agriculture and Animal Science conducted an Internal Quality Audit (AMI). This AMI activity was attended by Dr. Ir. Aris Winaya, MM. M.Si., IPU., ASEAN Eng. as Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and Animal Science of UMM and Dr. Ir. Samin, M.T. as Head of Document Control and Assistance of the Internal Quality Control Agency (BPMI). This Internal Quality Audit (AMI) activity is carried out from April 10 to April 17, 2023. This AMI activity is a systematic, independent, and documented testing process to ascertain whether the implementation of activities taking place at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang is following procedures and whether the results are following standards that have been set internally to achieve the goals of the University of Muhammadiyah Malang. This AMI activity is routinely held in April every year," said Samin.
This AMI evaluation is of course carried out systematically following the applicable regulations of Law No. 12 of 2012 concerning Higher Education. In the UMM AMI implementation policy itself, of course, there are several aspects to consider, namely objectives, targets, scope/object or field or activity to be audited, area or work unit to be audited, auditors, audit methods, audit instruments, audit time and schedule. , frequency of audits, as well as reporting and follow-up of audit results. The quality of higher education is a level of conformity between the administration of the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) with the National Higher Education Standards and the Standards set by the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM).
This series of Internal Quality Audit (AMI) activities included activities, namely first the UMM Chancellor through BPMI set the objectives of the AMI, planned the audit, and determined the object and scope of the audit. The AMI plan includes the objectives, scope, and areas of the AMI, identification of auditees and officials/individuals directly responsible for the objectives and scope of the AMI, and identification of reference documents (policies, manuals, standards). BPMI makes an audit plan. Second, together with BPMI, GPMI formed an auditor team. Third, conduct a management review meeting.
At the AMI activity, it was also conveyed that a SWOT analysis must be carried out per activity. This SWOT analysis is a method used in analyzing self-evaluation, especially in quality improvement to obtain an appropriate development strategy. The problems that were analyzed during yesterday's AMI will be addressed in the following year so that in the future there will be changes to achieve better quality.
Meanwhile the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and Animal Science Dr. Ir. Aris Winaya, MM. M.Sc., IPU., ASEAN Eng said that holding an Internal Quality Audit was expected that the Faculty of Agriculture and Animal Science of UMM could carry out sustainable activities in the future better so it was hoped that the University of Muhammadiyah Malang would be of higher quality.
