Presentation of Material by Representative Lecturers of the Faculty of Agriculture and Animal Science of UMM (Dokpri)
MALANG — On Wednesday (22/02) Muhammadiyah 5 Gresik Vocational School visited the University of Muhammadiyah Malang. The Faculty of Agriculture and Animal Scienceof UMM conducted outreach to students from SMK Muhammadiyah 5 Gresik regarding the introduction of the Center of Excellence (CoE). The arrival of Muhammadiyah 5 Gresik Vocational School also has the aim of collaborating in agriculture and animal Science with the Faculty of Agriculture and Animal Science, University of Muhammadiyah Malang.
The UMM Faculty of Agriculture and Animal Science has 6 operating study programs, namely agribusiness, agrotechnology, forestry, animal husbandry, food technology, and fisheries. “Our faculty has six study programs. Thank God, five of them have superior accreditation," said Pak Ramli
In this socialization, it was also explained that each study program already has a Center of Excellence (CoE) class developed by each study program. There are six ongoing CoE classes, namely the poultry professional class, the shrimp professional class, the cacao professional class, the plant seed production industry professional class, the agro-complex product export professional class, and the essential oil professional class.
"If all of my friends later enter the superior class, later friends will be directly taught by our partners who have collaborated," said the presenter
In the delivery from representatives of SMK Muhammadiyah 5 Gresik explained that their school is a school that has only been established for 5 years in 2018. Then, it was explained that the cooperation with the UMM Faculty of Agriculture and Animal Science was expected to improve the academic quality of their schools and to assist in the development of their schools.
Apart from that, in this socialization, Mr. and Mrs. lecturers from the Faculty of Agriculture and Animal Science of UMM also explained about Indonesian Student Extra Competency (KESI). This KESI is an additional special program given by educators to Class III SMA/SMK/MA students so that they have extra competencies according to students interests and passions. The purpose of this KESI is that the University of Muhammadiyah Malang can introduce a learning system in tertiary institutions, can provide more extra education to students, and finally can establish communication between UMM and prospective students.
"With this KESI program, you Class III SMA/SMK/MA students will be given the widest possible opportunity to choose short courses offered by all study programs at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang. If you later register for KESI, you will receive a certificate which will be useful when later registering at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang," said the speaker.

At the end of the event, the Faculty of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry gave several questions according to the material that had been explained by the lecturers. The students who managed to answer correctly had the opportunity to win prizes.
