The collaboration between the Faculty of Agriculture-Animal Husbandry and PT. Charon Phokpand Indonesia (CPI) was held on Tuesday (9 Feb) at the BAU hall, University of Muhammadiyah Malang. The signing of the collaboration was represented by the Dean of FPP, Dr.Ir.David Hermawan, MP.IPM and Benyamin Limi, Head of Regional of PT.CPI for East Java, witnessed by UMM Rector, Dr.Fauzan,MPd. In his speech, Fauzan said that the current branding is in the form of a triple helic program, which is a collaboration between universities, companies and the government. So far, partial collaboration is not effective. "The output of this collaboration with PT.Charoen Phokpand Indonesia is able to support the Animal Feed School," he said. "Students can get competency provisions, especially in the field of animal feed," he added.
PT.Charoen Pokphand Indonesia as a company engaged in the breeding sector, has a new program, namely the entrepreneur teaching center. "This program aims to develop an entrepreneurial spirit for students in the field of chicken breeding and frozen product," said Secretary General of Charoen Phokpand Foundation Indonesia, Andi Magdalena Siadari. Meanwhile, Benyamin Limi said that in the world of livestock, cost efficiency and environmentally friendly issues are needed. So it takes support from higher education in the form of research and development. "This collaboration should be used by UMM students to strengthen about the basics of poultry", he concluded.
